Preservation became the priority ✨

This correction journey started with heavy pigment buildup from Overtone (+others) layered over previous balayage, which can make lifting unpredictable, stubborn, and especially risky on compromised hair. I approached this in two sessions about a month apart to safely remove lingering pigment while protecting and preserving as much integrity and length as possible.

For this transformation, I used a combination of techniques using Goldwell Color Remover alongside SilkLift Clay Lightener for a soft hand-painted finish that kept dimension while carefully working through residual pigment.

Healthy blonding doesn’t stop in the salon either maintaining progress like this requires consistency at home, and thermal protection is absolutely non-negotiable. 🤍

Strategic sessions, realistic expectations, and trusting the process gave us a result that still feels soft, dimensional, and lived-in while maintaining her length.
