A note from Maleah:
I’d like to take a moment and share what’s been going on in my life. As many of you know, my parent’s health has been declining. It has been an extremely emotional and difficult season in my life. I’ve struggled mentally for months and tried to carry too much. I have been in counseling, went back to church, and seeking what direction I should go. I thought slowing down and eliminate stress was the answer…I even went back to college exploring a new chapter in Nursing. But God. After praying for guidance and getting different outcomes than I planned, I was asking God, “why?” I fell under conviction realizing the ‘problem’ isn’t all the stress I have on my plate. It’s that I am carrying a load I am not capable of carrying. So I told God, “Ok Lord, I give it to you. I can’t carry it anymore.” That was about 3 weeks ago and my how life can change in 3 weeks. Going through this trial has been hard but I would do it all over again. I can’t thank those who have been supporting me through this time enough. The battle isn’t over but the victory I feel right now, after all the depression I have been battling for months, I am just so satisfied and thankful. I told the Lord when I found the shop, if you want me to do this open the doors and I will walk through. It has been one of the hardest things and best things I have ever done. I also remember telling God to bless it and I realized somewhere along the road I took over the wheel. I gave and give it back to Him for His glory. I am not perfect by no means, but I believe with all my heart, He has given me this talent to use and to use for good. And that is just what I am going to do. I was afraid I would let people down, not be able to handle it all. I realize now, I will and I can’t. But isn’t that life? Isn’t that all of us? May we uplift each other and uphold one another in love. It is truly an honor to serve in Georgetown. Thank you all for accepting and loving me and my family. I would like to show you now a token of my appreciation. The salon was in need of some updates but I was ready to just let go. Well this is me standing (barely)🤣 and committing to Inspire Beauty Salon. Thank you for blessing me with 5 beautiful years. God be glorified for the rest! It is His. I am just the hands.
