One of the biggest misconceptions I hear is that grey hair has to be completely covered every 4–6 weeks.

These photos tell a different story.

The photo on the left shows 6 weeks of grow-out using traditional permanent color. As the hair grows, the line of demarcation becomes more noticeable because the grey and the permanent color create a stronger contrast.

The photo on the right is 6 weeks after my custom grey blending formula.

Instead of trying to erase every grey hair, I customize the formula to work with your natural grey, allowing it to become part of the overall color—almost like soft, natural highlights.

The result?

✨ A softer grow-out
✨ Less noticeable regrowth
✨ More natural dimension
✨ Longer between appointments for many guests
✨ Hair that looks effortless instead of freshly "covered"

Grey blending isn't a one-size-fits-all service. Every formula I create is customized to your natural color, percentage of grey, skin tone, and maintenance goals.

If you've been coloring your grey every few weeks and are looking for a softer, lower-maintenance approach, I'd love to show you what's possible.

NEW BLOG POST | Color Me Beautiful

One of the things I love most about being a hairstylist isn't just creating beautiful hair—it's helping people understand why their hair changes and what they can do about it.

Lately, I've had more and more clients ask me about hair shedding after starting GLP-1 medications like Ozempic®, Wegovy®, Zepbound®, and Mounjaro®.

So I decided to dig into the research.

In my newest Color Me Beautiful blog, I explain:

🤍 Why hair shedding can happen during weight loss

🌿 What telogen effluvium is—and why it's usually temporary

🥩 How protein, iron, vitamins, and thyroid health all play an important role in healthy hair growth

✨ What you can do to support stronger, healthier hair while your body adjusts

🧴 The salon treatments and products I recommend to protect your hair and minimize breakage along the way

My goal has always been to do more than create beautiful color. I want every client to leave my chair feeling informed, confident, and empowered to care for their hair between appointments.

If you've noticed more hair in your brush—or know someone who has—I hope this article helps answer some of your questions.

"I'm taking Ozempic® and my hair is falling out!"

I've been hearing this from more and more clients lately.

The surprising part?

Current research suggests that for most people, it's not actually the medication attacking your hair follicles.

Instead, the shedding is often caused by rapid weight loss, reduced calorie intake, lower protein consumption, and changes happening inside the body.

This type of shedding is called telogen effluvium, and in many cases it's temporary.

The good news? Understanding why it's happening can help you support healthy regrowth.

✨ I just published a new blog that explains:
• Why GLP-1 medications can lead to hair shedding
• What telogen effluvium is
• Which labs may be worth discussing with your healthcare provider
• How professional hair care can help support your hair while your body recovers

✨ Soft, bright & beautifully blended.

This transformation wasn't about making her blonder—it was about creating a brighter, more dimensional look that still felt natural and effortless.

Here's what we focused on:

🤍 Brightened the face frame to add light around her complexion.

✨ Added soft, strategically placed highlights to create movement and dimension.

🤎 Maintained depth at the root for a seamless grow-out and lower-maintenance upkeep.

🌿 Finished with a customized toner to soften unwanted warmth while keeping the blonde healthy, shiny, and natural-looking.

One of my favorite parts of creating color is designing it specifically for the person sitting in my chair. No two formulas or placements are exactly the same because your hair, lifestyle, and maintenance goals are unique.

My goal is simple: create hair that looks beautiful the day you leave the salon—and continues to look beautiful for weeks afterward.

✨ Dimension isn't accidental—it's customized.

For this client, the goal wasn't to make her blonde. It was to create a soft, dimensional look that felt brighter while still looking completely natural.

Here's how I approached it:

🤍 Brightened the face frame to bring light around her complexion.

🤎 Kept a neutral chocolate ash blonde base to create depth and richness instead of making everything one solid color.

✨ Added soft ribbons of brighter blonde through the mids and ends to create movement and reflect the light naturally.

🌿 Blended everything together so there are no harsh lines as it grows out—making this a beautiful, lower-maintenance color.

I love creating color that doesn't scream "fresh highlights." Instead, I want people to notice healthy, shiny hair and wonder why it looks so effortlessly beautiful.

Every color I create is customized for your natural hair, skin tone, lifestyle, and maintenance goals. There isn't a one-formula-fits-all approach—and that's exactly how it should be.

Thinking about refreshing your color? I'd love to create a look that's uniquely yours.

✨ 3 habits that could be causing your hair color to fade faster...

You invest a lot of time (and money!) into your hair, so let's make sure it lasts.

Here are three of the biggest culprits I see:

🫧 1. Washing with harsh cleansers
Some shampoos contain stronger detergents that can strip away natural oils and cause your color to fade more quickly.

🔥 2. Heat styling without protection
Hot tools can dry out the hair, dull shine, and shorten the life of your color if you skip a quality heat protectant.

💧 3. Mineral buildup from hard water
Minerals like calcium, magnesium, copper, and iron can leave your hair feeling dull, heavy, and make blondes look brassy over time.

The good news? These are all things you can help prevent with the right home care routine.

I dive deeper into each of these—and explain what ingredients to look for when choosing shampoo—in my newest Color Me Beautiful blog.

✨ Which ingredients are worth paying attention to (and why they're not always as simple as "good" or "bad")
✨ The truth about professional hair care vs. over-the-counter products
✨ What product diversion is—and why buying from an authorized salon matters
