Ammonia is commonly used in traditional hair color to open the hair cuticle, but it can also cause redness and itchiness for some people. Switching to a salon that uses an ammonia-free color system may help you determine if ammonia is what’s irritating your scalp.
3️⃣ What ingredients are in the products being used on my scalp?
Harsh sulfates, preservatives like parabens and PPD, synthetic fragrance, and drying alcohols can disrupt your scalp’s natural balance.
