As I was on my 135lb weight loss journey, every machine at the gym felt like it was built for someone else's body. I never felt like I belonged there. Then, I was in a stark clinic about to have a procedure done and I looked down at his chart and saw it in black and white : "Morbidly obese."

Clinically accurate. Still, it gutted me to see those words.

And that's the moment GlowCo was actually born.

I promised myself that if I ever built something of my own, it would be a place where you can comfortably and openly say all the quiet or embarrassing parts out loud. I hate how I look right now. I've tried every diet. I'm exhausted. My s*x life is not what it used to be. And not once feel like you're being judged for it.

We started as a weight loss practice. Then I went through my own hormone chaos and realized that piece couldn't be optional. Then I watched how much confidence has to do with how you feel in your own skin, so aesthetics came next.

None of it is about turning you into someone else. It's about you being honest about where you are right now - and having someone in your corner who's actually been there (...me!)

"Abercrombie. Pants. Medium." Three words I never thought I'd string together for myself.

Let's be honest, that's not a store built with me in mind. It's for teenagers and 20 somethings like my grown children. I usually walk past it and keep going.

But I had a trip coming up and needed pants so I went in. Half-expecting to leave empty-handed and deflated, the way that store used to make me feel. Instead, I grabbed a medium. Didn't even think twice about it (that's new). Tried it on.

It FIT. Like, well. No sucking in.

I stood there for a second longer than I needed to. Because this is the stuff nobody warns you about - the non-scale moments that hit harder than any number ever did and you never knew could be yours.

I've lost over 100 pounds. I'm a board-certified nurse practitioner, and I've walked every part of this weight loss road myself - the mindset stuff included. If you're standing where I used to stand, I can help you get to where I am now.
