It’s cold 🥶 outside, Do you know how to keep your Locs moisturized??

Cold Weather: Cold temperatures and low humidity levels result in dry air that draws moisture away from the hair and skin. This causes our hair to become brittle and our scalps to dry out.

✨Solution: Well we can’t prevent cold weather and low humidity levels altogether, but here are a few things to do that can help. Wear wool-free head scarves, wraps, and caps outdoors, and at bedtime.

Dehydration: Dehydration can happen when there is too much fluid loss from the body and can cause many problems with our bodies inside and out.

✨Solution: DRINK YOUR WATER. Avoid using hot water for hair washing. Hot water can dry out your skin and taking long showers are more likely to cause skin dryness especially with your scalp. Use a hair steamer, safe for at home and the salon. If you don’t have a hair steamer, use the shower as a natural source to add moisture to your hair. For hair moisturizers & oils do your research and find what works best for you or consult with your hair stylist.
