Lead your consultations with TRANSPARENCY!
• If there's a stress spot in their scalp - say it.
• If their hair type is going to challenge the maintenance schedule - say it.
• If something they told you during intake is going to affect their loc journey - SAY IT.
Then tell them how you're going to prevent it or correct it. As long as they does their part.
Because their loc journey might not be all glitter and rainbows, and they need to know that going in.

When to braid and band:
✔️ Before you shampoo
✔️ Anytime you’re swimming (always with a swim cap)
✔️ ANY time you’re near water — even if you don’t plan to get in
✔️ Before any activity where steam might hit your scalp (long showers, sauna, hot workouts)
The five seconds it takes to braid and band is the difference between healthy locs and a $1,500 reinstall. I’ve seen it. Trust me. 💜

The Three Point Interlocking Rotation
We are tired of yall putting holes in clients or your locs. So let’s get into the 3 point rotation, nothing technical, just a simple quick guide to help minimize errors within the loc community 💜
• When interlocking there are 4 points. 3,6,9,12
• With the 3 point rotation you only enter your tool on 3 sides ( isolating one side ) and you keep rotating those points until the loc is COMFORTABLY secured to the scalp.
• The points I enter my tool at for the 3 point rotation are: 3,6,12. BUT I’ve seen it done other ways..
