✨ COLOR MAINTENANCE SECRETS ✨

Want your color to stay fresh, shiny & beautiful between appointments? Your at home routine matters WAY more than you think🤎

Here are a few of my biggest color maintenance secrets:

Use professional shampoo + conditioner.
If that’s not in your budget, we get it! Make sure it is color safe, hydrating, and works within your budget!

Turn down the water temperature.
We know a HOT shower feels amazing… but your hair doesn’t love it! Lukewarm or cool water is much kinder to your color.

💜Don’t overdo purple shampoo!
Purple shampoo is a tool! It is NOT an everyday shampoo! Using it too often can leave blonde hair looking dull, overly cool, or even slightly muddy. Your stylist can tell you how often you actually need it.

🔥 ALWAYS use heat protection.
Blow dryers, curling irons & straighteners can cause fading and damage. Heat protectant should be a non-negotiable!

Protect your hair from chlorine & hard water.
Pool water and mineral buildup can seriously affect your color especially blondes. A good chelating or clarifying routine can make a BIG difference.

Please don’t DIY your color.
Box dye, at-home toners, color removers and random TikTok “hacks” can turn a simple maintenance appointment into a corrective color appointment. 😅
When in doubt, TEXT YOUR STYLIST FIRST!

✨ Keep up with your appointments.
Color is much easier (and often less expensive) to maintain when we stay on a consistent schedule instead of waiting until you feel like your hair has completely changed.

“I am a fresh graduate from Aveda Fredric’s Institute, but becoming a hairstylist has been a dream of mine since I was little! I already have a degree in Marketing, but knew I wanted to follow my passion and finally do what I love.

Please make sure coats are clean and free of stains or major damage. We are accepting coats in sizes ranging from toddlers all the way to adults.
