A closer look at how to use the Stitch Removing Wand for weft extension removal✂️

Designed specifically for the hair extension industry, this tool features two functional ends to help make stitch removal easier and more controlled.

🪄One end is the stitch removing side.
The longer pointed tip is designed to help lift, and loosen the first stitch, especially those tight stitches that can be difficult to access when starting the removal process.

Once the stitch is loosened, rotate the tool and use the cutting blade side (located behind the red ball) to cut through the thread.

🪄The opposite end features the unique pointed tip from the Evolution Collection designed for clean hair sectioning and can also help release and pull out already loosened threads during weft removal.

😎Pro tip: When starting at the corner of the weft, place a protection shield underneath while working on the first stitches. It helps create a barrier and gives you more control when working close to the scalp.

Do you have clients where the weft corners are more prone to sticking out? ✂️

This is one technique that can help create a flatter corner especially when working with Genius Weft.

Because Genius Weft has a more structured spine construction, the corners can sometimes require a little extra attention during finishing. Every client, hair type, and placement is different, so having different finishing options can help achieve the best result.

For this technique:
✂️ The weft is trimmed after the final stitch is placed. This allows the last stitch to sit exactly at the edge of the weft instead of trimming first and working against the weft.
🛡️ A protection shield is placed underneath the weft to help protect the natural hair while trimming the ends.
✂️ our Cutting Pliers create a clean, precise cut through the weft in one quick snip.
🪡 After trimming, the weft pieces are connected with a stitch around the weft only, followed by a final securing stitch through the natural hair to help keep the corner flat.
✂️A final small trim softens the corner and creates a smoother, more comfortable finish for the client.

This is just one approach to weft corner finishing, but it can be a helpful solution for clients where the corners are more prone to sticking out.

Those leftover extension pieces are worth more than you think.😉
Every solid, rooted, weft, or tape-in leftover can become part of a custom blend. Simply remove the attachment points, blend the loose hair together, and create beautiful multidimensional shades that look soft, natural, and expensive.
Think of popular colors like Hot Toffee, that dimensional look isn’t just one color. It’s a blend. By mixing leftover shades together, you can create versatile colors that work beautifully on so many clients while making the most of the hair you already have.

Whether you turn that blend into a full install or convert it into K-tips for future introduction appointments, you’re transforming unused hair into profit while minimizing salon waste.
Our Rounded Pin Hackle makes this process easier. Unlike traditional hackles with sharp pins, ours features smooth, rounded tips that help protect your fingers while allowing the hair to glide effortlessly as you blend custom colors.

Less waste. More custom color possibilities. More profit from the hair you already own.💸

Save this idea for your next color-matching appointment.🙌

Don’t let leftover hair become lost profit.💸👀

Small weft and tape-in pieces can easily be transformed into custom K-tips instead of ending up in the trash, helping you minimize waste and maximize every service.

Our Drawing Board makes the process even easier by:
• Keeping loose hair controlled after attachment points are removed
• Holding hair strands in place while you work
• Making color blending simple
• Reducing hair loss during preparation

A small tool that makes a big difference in creating clean, consistent custom K-tips.

If you’ve never experimented with mixing keratin colors, you’re missing one of the easiest ways to create a more precise color match.

Many extension artists focus on matching the hair color, but customizing the keratin bond is what elevates the finished result.

In this video, we’re showing how just three base shades: Clear, Light Brown, and Black, can be mixed to create a wide range of custom keratin colors. By simply adjusting the ratio of each shade, you can change the opacity, depth, and overall tone of the bond to achieve a more seamless blend.

• More Clear = softer, more translucent color
• Less Clear = richer, deeper tone

This technique gives you greater control over every K-tip application, allowing you to customize the bond color instead of closest pre-made shade.

And it doesn’t stop with powder.

Clear Keratin Grain can be tinted the same way. By blending it with a small amount of Light Brown or Black powder, you can create custom grain colors for softer, warmer, or smokier tones, giving you the same flexibility with grain as you have with powder.

Clear, Light Brown, and Black work together as a complete color-mixing system, giving you the flexibility to create virtually any keratin shade you’ll need behind the chair.

Save this as a reference for your next custom bond prep😉
