My name is Andrea McKinney. I’m a Master Lash Artist, Shop Owner and working Lash Technician. I wasn’t always in the beauty industry; in fact my previous career couldn’t have been any more different than what i do. I did child care for 6 years before making the decision to leave and follow my true passion for creativity and beauty. I entered into the beauty industry providing a range of treatments to women and over time, realized that i have a passion for eyelash extensions. I love the idea of enhancing your natural beauty with results that are subtle, yet stunning. I believe in minimalism and that less is more. I analyze your face structure and completely customize a design that is unique to you. I have a passion for my industry and an eye for detail, which makes me obsessive about perfection in my work. Everyday i feel truly blessed to have found an industry that i love.

POV: You’re a lash artist in 2026.
You open Instagram or Tik Tok to get inspiration…
…and somehow leave wondering if your work is good enough.
Someone has cleaner fans.
Someone has fuller sets.
Someone has 50K followers.
Someone launched a course.
Someone is charging twice what you are.
Someone just learned a technique you’ve never even heard of.
Close the app.
Your clients aren’t booking the artist with the best algorithm.
You don’t need to turn every client into content.
You don’t need to film every appointment.
They’re booking the artist they trust.
Your clients don’t need you to be trendy.
They need you to be consistent.
There’s something so beautiful about working with what’s already there.
No dramatic changes.
No overdoing it.
Just taking those natural lashes and creating something soft, full, and beautifully balanced.
Making something out of “nothing” is a skill. 🤍
Because sometimes the most luxurious lash sets aren’t the biggest or boldest ones—they’re the ones that make you look in the mirror and think:
“Wow… are those really mine?”
Enhancing what’s naturally there will always be one of my favorite parts of being a lash artist. ✨
Natural doesn’t mean boring.

UV/LED LASHES
Keep seeing “try UV/LED lashes!!” underneath videos of clients saying they’ve developed a “lash allergy”
SO let’s talk about WHY people are recommending them.
Light curing ISN’T a magic allergy cure, but for some sensitive clients, it can make a BIG difference.
Traditional lash extensions can became increasingly uncomfortable for some clients, and switching to light curing + a more sensitive-friendly adhesive completely changes experience for some getting their lashes done.
So if you thought developing a “lash allergy” automatically meant you could never wear extensions again... there may be another option worth learning about. 💡 🤍
✨ Enhancing what’s already beautiful will always be my favorite kind of lash work.
Not every set needs to be bold, dramatic, or heavy.
Sometimes the goal is simply to open the eyes, add softness, create definition, and make your natural features stand out — without taking over your face.
Light. Airy. Fluffy. Intentional.
The best lash sets don’t change who you are.
They make you look like the most polished version of yourself. 🤍
And honestly? That kind of luxury never goes out of style.
Here’s what I’d NEVER tell a beginner about UV glue…
UV glue is NOT where I would tell a beginner to start.
before introducing advanced adhesive systems, a lash artist should understand:
* isolation
* placement
* adhesive control
* humidity/temperature
* lash weight
* natural lash health
* curing principles
Master the foundation. Then add the technology.
I love a dedicated client, but 7 AM is between you, your coffee, and Jesus. 😭
My first appointment starts when I’m awake enough to see straight. 😂
