Ruby’s Beauty Bar

I debated whether or not to post this because I never want my personal life to affect my clients. But I’ve always tried to be honest with you all, so here it is.

The truth is…I’m exhausted.

This year has been one of the hardest & most life changing years I’ve ever experienced. Between opening my dream salon, navigating the end of my marriage, & trying to carry the emotional weight that comes with rebuilding my life, I’ve been running on empty for longer than I realized.

I love doing hair. I love my clients. I love creating a space where people can come in, feel beautiful, laugh, vent, & leave feeling lighter. But lately, I’ve realized that I’ve been pouring from a cup that needs to be refilled.

So I’m choosing to do something that doesn’t come very naturally to me, I’m choosing myself for a few days.

Not because I don’t care about my business, but because I care about it enough to know that I can’t continue showing up as the stylist & person you deserve if I don’t take care of myself first.

I’ll be back in the salon on August 5th, & I truly believe I’ll come back with a clearer mind, a fuller heart, & the energy that my clients deserve.

If you have an appointment scheduled during my time away, I’ll be reaching out soon to get you rescheduled.

Other than those appointment related messages, I won’t be responding to work messages while I’m away. I’ll begin responding to all outstanding(& there are so many of these because my brain is mush, I’m so sorry if you are one of them!) & new messages on Monday, August 3rd.

Thank you for loving me not just as your hairstylist, but as a human being. Thank you for your patience, your understanding, & for allowing me the space to heal. I don’t take that for granted.

Alaina Noffsinger is one of a kind. Mrs. Catherine gave me canvas painting of a street & shops in Paris. She thought would look wonderful repurposed for downtown Hopkinsville.

Alaina took on the challenge. She spent so much time & effort into making it reflect our city while also making sure it would fit in with the salon aesthetic. I almost cried when she brought it in.

Thank you so much Alaina for making me something I will cherish forever!! This is such a special piece!!
