Happy National Women Physicians Day and Happy Birthday to my beautiful daughter on her 1st birthday. A lot goes unsaid in a woman’s journey to become a surgeon/physician, as well as our journey into motherhood. Unexpected challenges that make us stronger and more powerful, and that give us an opportunity to demonstrate exactly what we’re made of.
I am honored to have been interviewed and selected for this Top Plastic Surgeon Award by Women in Medicine.
My passion is empowering people, especially women, and this includes patients, colleagues, and students. Getting to serve as a mentor to the next generation of women physicians has been a tremendous joy. And having the privilege of serving as a female representative on the American Society of Plastic Surgery Leadership Development Committee, has been an inspirational experience as I learn from the great women who’ve paved the way during far harsher times.
It is with deep gratitude that I write this post, as a member of the tribe of women who chose to serve with our hands and with our hearts.

The first thing we notice about a person is their eyes. Hollowing of the upper lid region, a A-Frame Deformity, yields a tired, deflated and aged look. This can be iatrogenic or idiopathic.
Regardless of the etiology, this hollowing can be corrected non-surgically and with no downtime.
Our beautiful patient here presented with A-frame hollowing, and underwent correction. These are her immediate results —> natural, lifted, youthful and well-rested appearing upper lids
