Okay y’all, get ready to read, bc this is a full transparency post..💞 Just to update you, some of you know, and some don’t. My business took a turn badly over the summer. And I’m assuming it was due to the mix of the heat & this recession bs.. i had so many cancellations! I spent so much of my time being upset, confused and blaming myself about it I fully gave up on trying to compete with the thoughts on my head. I told myself a million times to stick it through & stay at my suite even if all of the money I made that week went straight to it every Monday. I’ve invested a lot of myself, time and money into my brand. I tried so many things in order to stay longer. I even added on extra services. Like giving 1-on-1s for starters.. and every person that asked for a class didn’t come through for it. I didn’t promote it heavy, but that’s just because I wasn’t confident that people would even really want to pay me for that.
I tried curling hair on the side, for some extra $ which worked for a while. But truth is, it was making me miserable committing to something that wasn’t committing to me. Now I’ve (temporarily) let go. I’m no longer in a suite.. I’m sad it didn’t work out. I’ve looked in other places for suites. I’ve called a few, didn’t get a response, toured a couple & they were either in an inconvenient location or an uncomfy location. So until I find the ONE, I’m home based. I’m not embarrassed about it. It’s a set back & it’s life. I’ve since then have gotten a day job that I loveee & my clientele is actually picking up tremendously since I’ve left. I only really do makeup on weekends now, but it’s working out. What works for me, may not work for others and that is OK. My life has gone up and down with many times, I.E. the time I decided to move out of my state, then came back.. TWICE 🤣 I have to remember that I am a young adult and life doesn’t go as planned at times. But I am fortunate enough to had good experience in a lovely space away from home. so like I said, this transitional period is only TEMPORARY. Thank y’all so much for sticking around per usual.
