🚨Splat Attack! 🚨
One of the biggest misconceptions about Splat is that it’s a temporary or semi-permanent color that will simply fade away. In reality, Splat’s direct dyes are extremely concentrated and have a reputation for staining the hair far more aggressively than most professional direct dyes. Instead of fading cleanly, the pigment can become deeply embedded in the hair cuticle, making it incredibly difficult—or sometimes impossible—to completely remove. Even after months of washing, vivid staining can remain.

The resulting corrective approach is usually neutralizing the direct dye as much as possible. Hopefully, after a few more weeks, we can try to lighten again but often these are unpredictable.
