Sometimes, I struggle to celebrate myself. I get caught up in the mindset that I’m not making enough progress. But when I step back and look at the results, I’m so grateful for how far I’ve come. Cutting almost 100 pounds again is no small feat. My journey isn’t over, but I’m grateful that I started.
I take it one day at a time because that’s all I can do. God gives me the strength to keep pushing, and that’s exactly what I do. I no longer overwhelm myself—I just focus on the present, and I’m so thankful for where I am. None of this would be possible without that mindset. I’m truly enjoying this journey because it’s making me stronger and healthier.
That was the whole reason I started in the first place. It was never just about the weight or how my body looked—it was about getting healthy. My cholesterol was high. My blood pressure was high. If I’m being honest, that’s what triggered my first weight loss journey. I was struggling with asthma, and as I got older, more health issues started popping up. I had to make a change.
So, I had a choice—rush the process or take it one day at a time. And this time, I’m choosing patience. I’m giving myself so much grace on this journey, and it feels different this time around. This is just an update, but more importantly, it’s a reminder: celebrate your small wins. Because eventually, they turn into something big.
I’m so proud of myself🙏🏾
