This is 100% virgin human hair and let me say this…when I’m consulting, I’m often asked if all the hair can be braided down with no leave out…🤭

Here’s a fun fact that you should know when embarking on your human hair crochet journey: No 2 installs are the exact same. Because I am using virgin human hair, curl patterns will vary from bundle to bundle. Just as our own hair at times, you may have curls, coils, and waves in one install. The exact amount of these hair types will differ which makes it even better for a natural look versus having a full head of one uniformed pattern. The more you know, right?!

Summer, who?! We still love big hair at The Crochè Lab. A lil heat and humidity ain’t never scared nobody! Lol!
This install is still light, fluffy, and ready to see the world!
And guess what? She still has access to her scalp to keep it moisturized and healthy and her styling options are endless. Get all the way into it!
And it’s framed just right to accentuate those gorgeous cheekbones and jawline…I just love it!! 😩

I’d say the most intimidating part of dealing with human hair for me is when I’m asked to do a color match…especially with blonde! 😩 There’s such a wide range of colors that you can end up with outside of the one you’re shooting for and what’s additionally nerve-wracking is what the end result of the curl pattern is going to be after a chemical process.
Honey, my nerves were getting bad lightening up natural black kinky curly human hair extensions to such a high level…”Omg, what if she says she doesn’t like it? What if she pulls out of getting her hair done completely? Have the curls become too relaxed?!” So many questions ran across my mind and by the time I was done, she absolutely loved it! Another client gained! 😉

So…what’s the key to maintaining longevity when you have done multiple coloring processes on human hair? Intensive conditioning! Just as our natural hair acts when it has been bleached, your extensions will require extra TLC throughout the duration of you wearing it. Unless you want your tresses to be fried, dyed, and laid to the side…follow my haircare instructions and become one with a good deep conditioner! Lol!

There’s a method to mimicking someone’s hairline and not overpowering their install with too much of one color when it’s a nice blend they are seeking and it still needs to have a sense of “natural” to it. Mission: Possible.
She said, “I am trying to embrace my grey. Please select colors that will blend best.” I am in love with this! And, she left it up to me to decide on her volume, length, and shape so you know I was happy camper! Creative control me please! 🤗

Her hair has grown so much due to her consistency with her installs. Even though she has great length it doesn’t stop her from maintaining and staying on top of protecting it.
