This is gonna go over some heads but let me say this when it comes to the power of your thoughts: You will always find what you’re looking for 🤷🏽‍♀️☕️🧠

If you’re expecting there to be a problem, you’ll find one. If you need an excuse not to do something, you’ll create one. If you’re waiting on someone to do or say something to p**s you off, THEY WILL 🫠

We are all experiencing different realities, and yours is determined BY YOU 🗣 Your expectations, thoughts, assumptions, and the stories you tell yourself have no choice but to enter into your reality. They’re apart of YOU and they affect how you view the world around you ‼️

I know it may feel like the conflict is finding you, but that’s because you’ve been searching for it. ☕️

Karma isn’t what you do, it’s who you are. Having to live with and sit with the things that YOU have done can be way more painful than anything that someone or something else can do to you. ☕️

When you choose to be conscious instead of compulsive, and move with good intention, you’ll never have to worry about receiving good karma in return. You ARE the good karma.

TIME MANAGEMENT EXERCISE: CREATE A MASTER LIST 📝✨

A Master List is a big ass piece of paper that you use to stay on track! Writing things down onto paper frees you from having to try and remember everything. Free up some of the space up there so you can use your brain power for more important things. A lot of people find writing “to-do lists” cliche, but a lot of people also struggle with getting things done 😉

Did you know that most people have around 70,000 thoughts per day ⁉️😳 That’s 30,000 per hour. But we all know that quantity does not guarantee quality! For some of us, majority of those thoughts are repetitive and negative. It’s important that we choose to ADDRESS rather than SUPPRESS these negative thoughts. When we force them into our personal shadow, they sneak out into the real world through the things we say and do. This hurts us and the people around us. 💔

Remind yourself that your negative thoughts are not YOU speaking. It’s your inner critic. Now that you have this new perspective, you can begin to take note of when your inner critic is most active. This can help you discover which areas of your life are contributing to your negative thinking. 📝

SELF CARE SUNDAY: AUTHENTICITY

Staying true to ourselves can be very difficult in today’s “fake it until you make it” society. We live in a world where it’s becoming harder and harder to separate bu****it from the truth. It can be hard to be yourself in an environment that’s driven by lack of authenticity. Honesty makes us feel vulnerable and exposed. As a result, we try to be accepted and relevant by putting on different masks for different occasions. In doing so, we mask who we really are, not just from others, but eventually from ourselves as well. If you spend too much time pretending to be someone or something you aren’t, you become more of an impersonator than a person. Eventually, the act will become exhausting, your mask will slip, and you risk being found out or deemed worthless.

Take off the mask and stop trying to fit in. When you try to fit in, you hide your best asset: your own uniqueness. It’s time for you to strip away the fake exterior and stay true to your values and beliefs.

Being authentic isn’t something that you do. It’s something that you are. It may not make you rich, successful, or popular, but it will certainly make you HAPPIER than trying to be someone you are not. Personal authenticity provides a deep sense of being at peace with yourself, which feels so much better than faking it.

6 STEPS TO AUTHENTICITY:

1. STOP CARING ABOUT OTHER PEOPLE’S PERCEPTION: Anyone who doesn’t want to know the real you isn't worth knowing. When we are genuine, we encourage others to be genuine too.

2. EMBRACE IMPERFECTION:
Being authentic involves accepting your flaws and allowing yourself to make mistakes in order to change and grow. Remember: none of us are the finished product.

3. PUT DOWN THE DAMN PHONE:
It’s impossible you live life authentically when you’re constantly checking or scrolling, or comparing your life to others.

4. GET BACK TO NATURE:
Nature is a rare source of truth, beauty, and permanence. No filter required. Spending time in nature boosts life satisfaction and lowers the rates of anxiety and depression.

5. FOLLOW YOUR PASSIONS - NOT THE CROWD:
Being authentic means exploring YOUR interests and style regardless of whether it’s trending or not. Don’t fall for the illusion that you need to be on on-trend to be happy.

6. HAVE FUN:
Immerse yourself in the moment rather than analyzing it, or sharing it on social media. Life is way more fun when we stop taking ourselves so seriously.

I have a hard time keeping my mouth shut. When I was a little girl, I would always get in trouble for talking. I’m sure my mom was beyond sick of my teachers calling her daily to complain about how I would talk to anyone that they sat me next to 😂 I’m an only child, so naturally I wanted to interact with any kid I came into contact with. Here I am, 24 years young, and I’m still one of the most talkative people you’ll ever meet. I like to consider “talking” as one of my talents. Talent...? YES! I have learned that I have the unique ability to motivate and transfer positive energy to complete strangers through my cellphone. I have helped and inspired so many to PUSH THROUGH this crazy thing called life with just my words. During my appearance on Talk To Me Podcast this past Monday evening, a friend of mine called in and asked me where I saw myself in 5 years. I didn’t even have to think about it. I see myself having my own television show because I know it will happen. What I see is not a dream. What I see is a premonition. I see a vision. With that being said, I am VERY excited to announce that my YouTube channel will be coming this month!! I hope you all are ready for awesome workout videos, motivational speeches, tips for hair and skincare, skits, and so much more that I have in store. I am a Jackie of ALL trades, and I’m not waiting for society’s blessing to succeed. And that’s the Tea with Jackie B. ☕️❤️
