This client was experiencing significant scalp buildup and scaling that was later confirmed by a dermatologist as scalp psoriasis.

Scalp psoriasis is an autoimmune condition that causes skin cells to accumulate more rapidly than normal, often resulting in excessive flaking, itching, redness, inflammation, and increased shedding.

As a Clinical Trichologist, part of my role is helping clients recognize when a scalp condition requires medical evaluation. Through detailed scalp analysis and collaboration with healthcare providers, we are often able to help clients identify underlying concerns and develop an appropriate plan of care.

One of the most common misconceptions I hear is that a scalp disorder automatically means hair will never grow.

In many cases, that is simply not true.

For this install, my client chose 3 bundles from our Premium Raw Hair Collection, minimal highlights, and a smoothing treatment on her leave-out for a seamless blend.

A smoothing treatment helps reduce frizz, improve manageability, and minimize reversion, allowing the natural hair to better match the texture and finish of the extensions.

With proper maintenance, we recommend wearing this install no longer than 8–10 weeks with proper care and maintenance in between to ensure the health of both the natural hair and scalp.
