At Saunawelt, we love exploring the cultural details behind sauna traditions around the world — from heat and steam to scent, ritual, and restoration.
This wormwood was gifted to us by Sauna4Me during their visit, bringing with it a beautiful connection to tradition.
In Ukrainian folk tradition, wormwood — or yevshan-zillia — is connected to memory, longing, and the feeling of home.
A beautiful reminder that sauna rituals are never just about heat — they’re about culture, place, and the feeling of returning to yourself.

The sauna upgrade you’ll wish you had sooner.
Made in Lithuania from 100% wool felt, our sauna hats help insulate your head from the intense heat of the sauna.
Because your head is often the first part of the body to overheat, the wool helps slow the transfer of heat — allowing the rest of your body to warm more evenly and helping you settle into longer, more comfortable sauna sessions.
It’s a simple piece of traditional sauna wisdom that makes a remarkable difference.
Available in two colorways in our retail area.

Why sauna when it’s already hot?
Because there’s a difference between being hot and using heat with intention.
At Saunawelt, the sauna experience is built around a simple cycle: heat, cooling, rest, and repeat. The heat is controlled, the cool down is part of the ritual, and the rest period gives your body time to settle.
In the summer, this can become a powerful recovery practice — especially after workouts, outdoor training, time on the water, or long days in the Houston heat.
Think of it less as “more heat” and more as a guided way to reset your body’s relationship with heat.
Warm up. Cool down. Recover. Rest.
A little more flexibility for your summer rhythm.
At Saunawelt, you can choose the sauna session that fits your day — 60, 90, or 120 minutes of heat, cooling, rest, and renewal.
Sessions start at $35, making it easy to come in for a quick reset, a post-workout recovery ritual, or a slower moment between summer plans.
More sauna. More summer. More time to reset.
A quick update for guests visiting tomorrow (Monday, July 20):
Our Aromatherapy Steam Room will be temporarily unavailable while we complete a necessary maintenance repair.
All other experiences—including the Finnish Sauna, Alpine Herbal Sauna, Cool Mist Room, Cold Bucket Shower, Infrared Loungers, and our indoor and outdoor lounges—will be open as usual.
We appreciate your understanding as we take care of our sauna house and look forward to welcoming you.

Continue your sauna ritual at home.
Dry brushing is a simple at-home practice that can help gently exfoliate, smooth the skin, and awaken surface circulation before a shower or home sauna ritual.
Use light, upward strokes on dry skin, then rinse and moisturize to complete the practice.
A small way to bring the feeling of Saunawelt into your everyday routine.
Dry brushes are available in our retail space.
