Not every memory change = dementia! πŸ§ β€‰

Forgetting where you left your keys is very different from memory changes that interfere with your daily life.

Diabetes is more than just your A1c!

🩸 Your A1c is the 3 month average of your blood sugar. Your A1c goal depends on your age and other chronic diseases.

πŸ’Š Every patient with diabetes should be on a statin because diabetes significantly increases your risk of heart attack and stroke even if your cholesterol doesn’t seem that high! Our goal is typically LDL

Lots of treatment options for different underlying manifestations of PMOS! This is just a general but not comprehensive overview for educational purposes only. In addition to these pharmacological options though, consistent lifestyle changes can also help stabilize blood sugar, regulate hormone levels, and improve overall fertility.

There’s no one size fits all, so talk to your doctor about what’s best for you!

Differentiating the two often requires a β€œtriple assessment” combining clinical examination, imaging, and pathology.

If you’ve noticed anything different about your breasts, please see your doctor as soon as possible!

Behind every clinic schedule is a physician quietly carrying the weight of their patients’ fears, victories, frustrations, and everything in between…

Sometimes we don’t get enough time between patients to process each visit and reset ourselves. We push through and continue to show up even when it’s hard.

Every patient deserves our best, but just remember that we’re only human too 🀍

If you can relate, follow for more! πŸ™‚

You may have heard of the ABCDE’s of skin cancer, but now you know it for breast cancer too πŸ’–β€‰

While most professional societies do not recommend self breast exams, this is what I teach for breast self awareness during my well-woman exams! An easy mnemonic for patients to remember, so save & share this with a friend!

If you notice any of these changes with your breast, then please see your doctor for a thorough evaluation!
