I swear, one of the most incredible miracles of my life happened when I inherited a brand-new barbershop just a few weeks after seriously thinking about how much I wanted another opportunity. Then BOOM 💥 — a week after visiting Humble, a suburb of Houston, for something completely unrelated, I was hit with an opportunity that would change the direction of my life. 😳

I’m forever grateful to Oscar for thinking of me and trusting me to carry on the Razor Sharp tradition that started back in Lakewood, WA. 💈🙏🏽

It’s funny because I still feel like a new Texas resident sometimes — probably because Texas is so damn BIG 😂 — but it’s crazy to realize it’s been 9 YEARS already and we’re closing in on a whole decade!

I want to thank every client and every barber who has walked through those doors and allowed me to build and run one of the top barbershops in the area for the past nine years. WOW. 😮💈

I really love it here in the South. It gave me a completely different look at life. There’s so much opportunity, so much room to grow, and of course… THE SUN ACTUALLY COMES OUT ALL YEAR! 😂☀️🙂‍↕️

I just wanted to make a little post and really reflect on this move and everything that came with it.

Because it definitely wasn’t all easy.

A flooded home.
Two trucks stolen.
Sleeping in the barbershop for two months.
A con-artist business partner.
Starting over and figuring things out along the way.

But looking back, I gained everything I lost back — and then some — through knowledge, experience, wisdom, resilience, and lessons that money couldn’t have bought me.

Tacoma gave me my foundation. 🌲
Houston gave me another chapter. 🤘🏽
And every high and low helped prepare me for whatever comes next.

August 17, 2017 → Present.

9 YEARS IN HOUSTON. 🚀

These last nine years have been one hell of a journey, and I’m grateful for all of it.

Now I’m ready for the NEXT LEVEL of this game called LIFE. 🙏🏽💯
