I unfortunately feel the need to address this. I do not work over damaged nails, and I do not allow extra guests. This is stated in my policies as well as posted on my social media platforms. I have had to turn down or offer alternative services to several clients because of the health of their nails. My top priority as a nail tech is to keep your nails healthy. If you come in with nails ripped off and severely damaged nail plates I refuse to put product back over that. I would however love to give you a clean manicure and you are more than welcome to apply whatever you’d like to them when you leave, but I will NOT further damage your nails. If you have came into the salon you understand we have 9 full time stylists who all have amazing clientele’s and stay very busy throughout the day. We have one seating area at the front of the salon to accommodate approximately 5 people at a time. In the nail room we do not have extra seating. Please do not come in with FOUR extra people. That’s rude and selfish. I am a nail tech, not your child’s babysitter. I was left a bad review because an individual thought it was necessary to allow her daughter to bring her “friends” with her to the salon and they were kindly ask to sit in a vehicle and I would let them know when I had finished the clients nails. These children were walking around our nail room messing with our other techs materials as well as my own while the adult in the situation took a younger child to the car because she was “tired of dealing with him”. Again!!! I love your children, but I am not a babysitting service. I have clients to service and I will not be responsible for your children. I then explained to the client at hand that I did not feel comfortable doing her nails as they were damaged and I did not want to further damage them. I offered to give her a manicure and told her she could definitely put some press ons on for the school dance if she wanted them done that bad. She understood and said she would ask her mother. Her mother then stormed in the salon and ask what was said to the other children to which I responded I don’t allow extra guests as we don’t have room. She said that information was not relayed to her, which if she read my policies she would have seen that. I then explained to her exactly what I explained to the daughter and she started yelling that they “would figure something out”, “do something different”, and to “just forget it”. Apparently our salons “vibes are off” and they “didn’t feel welcomed”. She then continued yelling in a salon full of people as she walked out the door that she “would never be back, EVER!”, and saying that it was “ridiculous”. Another client then spoke up and said she had to ask the lady’s children to stop throwing pillows at each other as they were going to rip and the mother rolled her eyes. I typically keep my mouth shut and don’t get into things like this, but I refuse to have my business talked down on and I will not be disrespected like that.
