Guys....
Here's the difference between store bought, mass produced "sourdough bread" and real bulk fermented sourdough bread you can buy from me or so many home bakers!
The first label is one from a store. Is it less expensive? Yes usually.
But....
1. It is not the gut healthy, true sourdough that they claim. Why? Because it has so many additives it takes a whole label to show them. Also, they add yeast and enzymes to make it rise AND give it that "sourdough flavor"!
2. My ingredients listed in the second picture are carefully picked. No additives, 3 INGREDIENTS!
3. True sourdough (ya know the real gut healthy and tasty stuff everyone loves) takes time to rise and develop! The gut healthy part comes from the fermentation process and the wild yeast collected from the environment around you, NOT a package or chemical!
So the next time you catch yourself wondering why sourdough bread is so much cheaper in the store.... you now know why! 🥰
