Great Day beautiful people. This has been on my mind for quite a long time. As a salon owner for over 22 years. What I've noticed is stylist will come into a salon to work and when things don't go as they want. Their first thought is. I'M GOING TO OPEN MY OWN SALON. They open a salon and for some they become successful, but for most they end up closing their business or sitting in a EMPTY SALON where they are the only one in the SALON. WHY? Because most of them weren't prepared for what it takes to own and manage a business at the same time, and instead of saying I need some HELP! Nope they just suffer until they have to close their doors. In the black community these building owners are benefiting the most, because we've got all of these salons open with high overhead for One or Two people to try and manage. Instead of coming together, bringing the brands together we continue to move as individuals and it's really hurting the industry and our families. EMPTY SALONS ONLY BENEFIT THE BUILDING OWNERS.
