Now mind you I can make a press last and giving you the education but we live in FLORIDA and have to be realistic sometimes.

I am WhitneyJ, a licensed cosmetologist and the owner of WhitneyJ Hair Salon serving Jacksonville, FL. I help woman build their confidence through my services and expertise.
I attended Paul Mitchell The School and finished in 2018. Education beyond obtaining my license has always been important. I invested so much time into attending hair shows, and educator classes over the years. It’s essential to keep fine tuning your craft.
Before I got into my salon I was home-based and traveled to my clients, and it’s a time I’m truly thankful to have experienced. It taught me a lot but mostly importantly value when dealing with a number of things.
Beyond being a business owner, and entrepreneur I am just a girl who love creating! I get to play dress up with my clients and their hair, and make them feel good.
A good shampoo will shift the mood immediately 😉🫶🏾
The saying “I just needed my hair done” will always be true. Simple changes can immediately give your confidence a boost and improve your mood.
Color can be simple or complex but regardless it takes patience and being intentional about your routine.
I love doing color BUT I don’t immediately say yes to clients who want color. Trust has to be established between the client and stylist.
And my first question will always be what’s your home routine consist of, when was your last color service? 👀

I’ve always been a girl willingly to help and give I just wasn’t sure how but being able to serve through my hands is all because of God.

My word of the year is ABUNDANCE.
As I reflected on 2025 I experienced growth but desire more and that goes beyond a tangible result but a feeling, and an impact.
I am claiming it in every area of my life, so I can show up and serve in more ways.
With ABUNDANCE it speaks to every component and the goals for 2026.
