Healthy hair over shortcuts
⬇️ Learn how to keep it growing
When y’all tell me your hair is dry, I’m not reaching for a product first. I’m asking questions.
Your routine tells me more than your hair ever could.
How often are you shampooing?
What shampoo and conditioner are you using?
Walk me through your routine.
Those answers usually tell me where we need to start.
Before y’all start typing😂
This isn’t about one product. It’s about expecting one product to do everything.
Healthy hair isn’t built by one jar, one bottle, or one appointment. It’s built with the right routine, consistency, and trims when your hair needs them.
Now who’s brave enough to admit they’ve tried it?
I ask this question all the time
“What are you using on your hair?” And nine times out of ten the answer is “Oil.” 😂
Oil has its place, but if you’re wearing silk presses, your routine between appointments matters. Your shampoo and conditioner do the heavy lifting. The oil just helps finish the job.
That’s why I always say healthy hair is a routine, not just a salon appointment.
What are y’all using between salon visits?
If every trim feels like a haircut it might not be the trim.
Split ends don’t stop where they start. They continue moving up the hair shaft. Keeping up with regular trims helps remove damaged ends before they spread, so you can keep your hair looking healthy and retain more length over time.

Heat damage isn’t always about the flat iron. It’s also about how you use it. Too much heat, too many passes, and unnecessary touch-ups can all work against your hair. A quality flat iron is important, but healthy hair and good technique matter just as much.
What’s one heat habit you’ve had to break?

I know “haircut” can be a scary word. 😂
A lot of people think stylists recommend haircuts because we like cutting hair. The reality is, most of us are looking at where your hair is today and where you’re trying to get it. Sometimes that means a trim. Sometimes that means a haircut.
The recommendation isn’t about taking your length. It’s about helping you keep more of it over time.
Be honest have y’all ever thought your stylist was being scissor happy?
Y’all think stylists are scissor happy. 😂
Trust me, I’d rather help you keep your hair than keep cutting the same damaged ends every few months.
When I recommend a haircut, it’s not because I want to take your length. It’s because I’m thinking about where you want your hair to be six months from now, not just today.
Now tell the truth what’s the first thing y’all say when your stylist mentions a haircut? 😂✂️

Haircuts get emotional and I understand why. Every inch represents time, patience, and progress.
My job isn’t to convince you to cut all your hair off. My job is to educate you, understand your goals, and create a plan that works for you. Sometimes that’s a bigger haircut. Sometimes it’s a smaller one. Sometimes it’s working toward your goal over time. Healthy hair isn’t one decision. It’s the choices you make consistently. Be honest what’s the first thing y’all say when your stylist mentions a haircut? 😂
Y’all know I’m telling the truth. 😂
This client hadn’t had a haircut in about a year because she wanted to keep her length. Her goal was to keep enough hair for a ponytail, so we talked through her options and made a plan she felt comfortable with.
Every client has different goals, and my job is to educate them so they can make the best decision for their hair. Now be honest what’s the first thing you say when your stylist mentions a haircut? 😂
