I know we all hate a haircut because we want that luscious, lengthy hair… but a haircut can actually be one of the best things you can do to help you retain that length!

I’m not saying haircuts magically make your hair grow, because they don’t. Your hair grows from the scalp regardless of whether you cut it or not.

BUT… regular trims help keep the existing hair in better condition, which can help you hold onto the length you’re growing.

Because let’s be honest… that damaged hair is coming off one way or another. Whether you choose to cut those ends or leave them, severely damaged ends can eventually break off on their own.

And when split, damaged ends are left alone, that damage can continue farther up the hair shaft, leading to more breakage, thinner ends, and less length retained.

So as scary as a haircut can seem, sometimes a little off the ends now can save you from having to take off even more later. 🤎

SO… regular trims are important!!

No, cutting your hair won’t make it grow faster or make it grow “better” from the scalp but it can make a huge difference in the health, appearance, and length you’re actually able to retain. ✨
