Renewed Kinetics

The boogey man is getting ready for his next haunt... don't let him out self care you.

There are still some appointments available before and after Halloween but you better hurry because they won't be there for long.

I love when I can help a new client that has been to several other professionals to get the pain relief to no avail.

Maybe some massage therapists would be intimidated when someone with an extensive surgical past schedules and mentions having gone to an ER, physical therapist, and other massage therapists to get relief.

But I see it as an opportunity to figure out the puzzle that is their pain, and not to brag too much but I'm pretty good with puzzles. 😊

I'm crazy and listen to podcasts while I run. This morning's episode had a Picasso quote that really resonated with me.

"Learn the rules like a pro so you can break them like an artist."

In my 18 years as an LMT I've taken hundreds of hours of continuing education and even more self study hours surrounding anatomy physiology, kinesiology and how touch/movement can create change.

Which is why I pause when I get asked "Do you do deep tissue?" Because I absolutely will affect your deep tissues using possibly dozens different modalities that blend together to make your session uniquely your session, which might look completely different than someone else who gets on my table with the same aches and pains.

Tldr: You won't find any cookie cutter sessions at Renewed Kinetics.

If I had to summarize Renewed Kinetics in one word it would be Adaptable.
Today I have a 30 minute, 60 minute, 75 minute, and 90 minute session starting at 7:30 am.
Last night I had a 2 hour session that started at 6 pm.
My clients range from 9 years old to 80 years old.

I love being able to provide personalized care for each session with a wide range of bolsters, positioning and timing to help with the pains of the day.

What does your ideal massage look like?

I am LOVING all these classroom set up videos. But all I can think is y'all need a massage before school starts because wow your hard work starts long before we realize it.

What do I listen to while I run?

A massage podcast of course.

169: Exploring Anterior Neck Work (with Walt Fritz) The Thinking Practitioner · Episode

Both of these are supposed to be the same muscle, latissimus dorsi.. one was ai generated floating around facebook, the other is from a strength training app.

Be careful where you're getting your healthcare information from. So many companies aren't even checking to see if their ai created media is even correct before posting.

Can you tell which is the correct placement for this muscle?

Lifting weights so your deep tissue massage is actually deep.

Wearing gloves so my hands stay callus free.

Being a Massage Therapist is so much more than just what happens in session. My clients' desired results and comfort are always on my mind.

Packing up for some in home sessions and I have 2 heavily upgraded face cradles that are great for different reasons.
I might not know which face cradle to choose but I do know that I'm bringing my achedaway scraper and my Cozy Joey Holster.

Fun fact: I've sold more gift cards for father's day than for mother's day.
