Stop covering your greys and get ready to fall in love with your hair again

Grey blending is one of my all-time favorite services in the salon because I love creating soft, dreamy, no-line grow-outs

Grey blending can be done a lot of different ways, but my preferred technique involves taking fine highlights that mimic the natural pattern of your sparkles, and placing them with intention to enhance lightness in your hair while camouflaging silvers

You don’t have to settle for a harsh grow out. Follow the link in my bio to meet your best hair yet

Why I prefer to cut hair dry (most of the time) -

When hair is wet, it can stretch up to 50% of its length, and in my experience, taking an inch off of wet hair is usually more than it is when you cut the same hair dry

You know that weird spot in your hair that always lays kinda funky? It's way easier for me to plan for how it will lay when I can see in real time how it reacts as we cut

For the fine haired girlies in the room- When your hair is dry, it allows me to be more conservative and precise removing length exactly where we want it and really perfect the details

But for the follicularly well-endowed in the chat, a dry cut allows for the kind of detailing that lets us remove weight where your strands feel heavy and won't do anything but hang there and allow for more balance and flow in the haircut

Good things take time, but the best are worth the wait

Right is the before and after of our first session, and I knew we could create beautiful hair that day, but I was even more confident that with a few more sessions, I could totally transform her hair

It was important to break up the work into sessions in order to not stress or damage her hair and the growth truly speaks for itself

Not every client can get this bright while maintaining the health of their hair, and the key is to invest in a stylist who prioritizes health over unrealistic expectations

My most controversial opinion as a hairstylist:

I don’t want you to leave with wet hair

I would much rather spend a couple minutes giving you a smooth blowdry, so we can both see your cut or color as it was intended because wet hair looks dramatically different than dry hair, and it’s important for you to see your hair in it’s final form to make sure that you love it

I include a complimentary blow dry with all of my cut and color services because it’s important to me that you look and feel your best when our time together is finished

🤞 This post finds its way on to the feeds of all the girlies who are constantly fighting oily roots

Say this with me:

Dry shampoo is preventative

The best and most effective time to use it is before your hair starts to get oily

I usually recommend using dry shampoo the night before so you can allow it to sit overnight for maximum oil absorption

And of course, pick up the King of all dry shampoos Perk Up. This is one of my all time favorite holy grail products and I'm pretty much never without it!

I have exciting news-

Having low maintenance hair doesn't have to mean going dark or losing your blonde

Soft, dimensional hair that grows out with no harsh lines means you can have brightness without having a line of demarcation after 6 weeks

Going the low maintenance route means going 3,4 and sometimes even 6 months between salon visits is painless
