I am so excited to share photos of Madelyn’s first professional photo shoot. One model with several looks. She is well on her way to a successful career carrying on for a third generation in the beauty biz. So proud of my girl! Can’t wait to have her in the salon!

Connie Miller always brings me roses from her garden. Today I had a surprise for her...a lovely bouquet of Ann’s roses. She did not come empty handed💐she brought me two delightful bouquets😍

We wanted to take a moment to thank all of the new and old clients that have come into the salon or booked appointments since we have reopened. Because of you our salon is riding out these difficult times and we are staying busy. Booked through mid October, awesome!

We continue to sanitize the salon between appointments and we are now able to offer indoor or outdoor services.

We looked forward to serving the community for years to come🌸

As we transition into outdoor services, I am honoring the passing of my client Loralee Windsor, 😥. She lived alone with her Loralee is with her doggie. I strongly urge you to check in with those you know and care about, who may live alone, away from family or are just socially reclusive. We need each other in these times❤️

Contra Costa County is in the 11 listed counties which are not allowing salons to open just yet. I will keep our June appointments and only cancel if need be as we learn more in the coming days🤞🏼

As I enter my 30th year in cosmetology, I find myself having to close my business for several weeks if not more than a month. Never in my wildest dreams would I have imagined this.

In the past week I’ve cleaned the house, tended my yard, cooked lots of food and sanitized the doorknobs more than any other week. But I find myself unfulfilled, milling about the house trying to keep busy and make something of the day.

I am so thankful to have found a career where I find so much joy and satisfaction at the end of the day. It’s not always easy to stand in one place for hours at a time with your arms up, but the payoff is ten fold. Often, I reflect on my workday and how I’ve made people happy with their appearance, comforted to know they are in good hands as I work the scissors, combs with my magic hands. You, my dear clients, make up half of my life. Without all of you I would not be the same person I am today. You have all touched my life in many different ways and I am so grateful for that❤️

You will be shaggy when you see me next, and I will be ready and waiting with scissors in hand once the orders are lifted. Thank you for the decades of patronage and friendship. May we all keep our health and happiness in these unprecedented times🙏🏼
