Lee's Bees Apothecary
I make natural skincare the way our ancestors did, focusing on herbal remedies and nourishing beef tallow products.
Follow along for bees, chickens, homesteading, and a little humor! 🐝🌿 If you enjoy what I share, please spread the word! In 2020, I learned that my deodorant contained aluminum which can cause breast cancer. This led me to research all the products I was using and I didn't like what I found out. I set out to reduce the chemicals around our home. My first homemade item was deodorant, but I've made pretty much everything that I put on, right down to hair gel. Some things bombed, but some have been great and I continue to create and use those items. So that's what I'm here selling- the products that I have made in my own kitchen and use on myself and my family.

I'm certainly not the epitome of health, but for any of my friends who like to fry things, would you consider a change to what oil you fry in?
I like to watch this often. HAHA spit and run. Quality entertainment.

I make a couple different versions of tallow balm. The one referenced in this review is the OG: just tallow and extra-virgin olive oil. My sweet customer left me a beautiful review. The only thing wrong here is it's not my farm. I go to someone local.
Thank you, Kelly!
Worth looking into...
I want to hook up with Crosswind Cottage to put some of her homegrown loofah in my tallow soap for a natural healthy cleansing and exfoliating experience.

Welcome to Lee's Bees Apothecary! 🐝🌿
First, many thanks to everyone who has recently followed or shared my page! If you're wondering why you're here or what I'm up to, I thought I'd introduce myself and share a little of my story.
Around 2017, I started becoming increasingly sensitive to commercial products I'd used and loved my entire life—perfumes, scented lotions, air fresheners, hair care products, cleaning products, soaps, and more.
Walking through the cleaning aisles at stores became (and still is) a nightmare. Being around heavily fragranced products, or even working next to someone wearing strong perfume, can trigger migraines, make it difficult to breathe, and honestly, put me in a mild state of panic.
So, around 2018, I began making changes to reduce my exposure to products and ingredients that bothered me. That journey eventually led me to start making my own products in 2020, and by 2022, I was selling them at our local farmers market.
And that brings me to this page!
Here, I'll share some of the things I do around my home to reduce our exposure to potentially irritating or unnecessary chemicals. But that's only part of what I'm passionate about!
You'll also see plenty of homesteading adventures—beekeeping, chickens, gardening, making things from scratch, and finding practical ways to become a little more self-sufficient. I'm not trying to live completely off the grid or do everything perfectly. I just enjoy learning how to do more for myself and my family, and sharing what I discover along the way.
I'm not non-tox, but I'm working toward less tox. And believe me, I haven't figured it all out!
I'll share products I make, which you're always welcome to purchase. But I may also show you how to make them yourself! I want this page to be about more than selling products. I want it to be a place where we can learn and share ideas.
I'm certainly not getting rich doing this. I work a full-time job, have kids in sports, bees to keep, and plenty of other hobbies that compete for my time. But I'm putting myself out here because this is something I care about.
If you know someone who might enjoy or benefit from my content, I'd love for you to share my page.
I'll do my best to bring you useful, educational content that you and your family might benefit from. And probably some things I just find funny, too. 😊
Welcome to Lee's Bees Apothecary, and thank you for being here! 🐝💛

I love my fall Iris blooms. This one surprised me today.
2026 honey harvest is done. To us, it seems sweeter, thicker, and richer than last year.
Let me know if you'd like a jar. $20 per pint.
