Mask-Kit

Based on the beautiful island of Maui, one of the world’s most popular vacation destinations, the bustling Urgent Care in Lahaina serves the many weary travelers who arrive in paradise with coughs, colds, and everything in between. No one likes to be sick, but being sick while on vacation is significantly more disappointing. Shannon Richards, Nurse Practitioner and Mask-Kit Founder, hears the same story day in and day out from her patients, "I know exactly how I got this cold…the guy next to me on the plane was hacking up a storm" or “the kids two rows up started vomiting an hour into the flight.” Sound familiar? The convenience of flying is unquestionably brilliant, however, as passengers, it demands we share our personal space with 200 fellow travelers for many hours at a time. Hence the need for personal protection gear to get us from A to B without a full assault on our immune system. Viruses and bacteria travel by droplets, landing on surfaces, waiting for hands to pick them up and transfer them to eyes, noses, mouths… and we help them get there. To avoid this potentially harmful transmission, Mask-Kit includes the personal aides to wipe out viruses and germs on seats, tray tables, seat belts, and seats where they lie in wait. Mask-Kit also includes a face mask to filter the air you breathe of odors and particulates, and serve as a barrier for those hands that need to scratch that itch around your eyes or mouth. Washing hands with soap and water is the tried and true way to rid the hands of germs, however, the alcohol based hand sanitizer tucked in your Mask-Kit is your back-up to obliterate the bacterial and viruses that may follow you when washing is not an option. As a final touch, we added Emergen-C, rich in Vitamin C, to help boost your immune system. Whether you’re travelling for work or play, Mask-Kit arms you with the essentials to get to your destination happy and healthy.
