Here’s the story of Milk of the Poppy. 🥛🧼

First things first — this one is NOT for sale. ❤️

A customer trusted me with something incredibly personal: her breast milk. She asked me to turn it into soap for her family.

And honestly, the trust behind that request meant more to me than anything.

She trusted me with something she worked hard to provide, trusted my knowledge as a soapmaker, and trusted me to figure out how to make her a beautiful bar while treating what she gave me with care.

And I did. ❤️

I learned a lot from this challenge, and somewhere along the way I realized… I milk goats, I’ve milked cows, I render tallow and make soap from scratch. 😂 Breast milk really wasn’t as crazy as I first thought.

I’m incredibly grateful she trusted me enough to let me try.

And Milk of the Poppy turned out pretty darn beautiful. ❤️

Custom Order #1: Eucalyptus Bars 🌿

And I’ve gotta tell you—after making these for my client, I had to make some for us too!

Fresh goat milk, grass-fed tallow, coconut oil, olive oil, and a refreshing blend of peppermint and eucalyptus essential oils. They’re creamy, fresh, and absolutely lovely.

Seriously…why didn’t I make these sooner?! 😍

It's a little crazy in this picture. Messy kitchen, soap everywhere. Yup, that's me! if you are wondering how I got myself in this position... LOL. I promise the kitchen looks way better now.

I’ve been busy making custom orders, so I haven’t had much time to edit my videos and photos to post. Because let’s face it—the easy part is taking the pictures and making the videos. The editing takes forever!

And since the girls and I aren’t exactly the type to sit in front of a screen, no amount of bribery will convince Isabelle or Lily to help with that one little part of our small family business. 😂

But they do love the hands-on work! They’ve been busy labeling products and helping make sure we’re ready for a month packed with vendor events—starting with VendorCon at the RP Funding Center this Saturday!

Orthopaedic Trauma has kept me BUSY, so posting has taken a back seat! But I made two very special custom orders this week. It truly means the world to me when customers trust me to create something so personal just for them. 🤍

🤍 MILK + CAMPHOR — THE BAR I ACTUALLY USE AT HOME.

Out of ALL the soaps I make, this is still one of my absolute favorites.

It’s not colorful.
It doesn’t have fancy swirls.
There are no dyes or elaborate scent blends.

And that’s exactly why I love it. 🤍

Milk + Camphor is incredibly creamy and smooth, with just camphor essential oil for that fresh, clean scent.

I originally wanted a simple bar for people who prefer fewer added ingredients or tend to stay away from heavily scented, colorful soaps — and somewhere along the way, it became the bar I keep reaching for in my own shower. 😂

Sometimes you don’t need to mess with a good thing.

🌿 There’s something beautiful about the simple ones.

No fancy swirls. No glitz and glamour. Just an earthy, natural bar made with simple ingredients.

Witch Hazel + Calendula. 🌼🌿

The scent on this one is SO light. It’s one of those scents that’s hard to explain online — it just makes me think clean, fresh, natural, earth. I wish I could somehow let you smell it through your phone. 😂 But since I can’t… take it from me.

I specifically hot processed this batch and left out all the fuss of making it picture-perfect because I wanted a beautiful, functional bar that I could use right away.

And honestly? I love the rustic look of it. It looks exactly like what it is — handmade soap.

Made with beef tallow + goat milk, witch hazel and calendula, this gentle little bar is suitable for both face + body.

Sometimes the simplest bars end up being some of my favorites. 🤎🌿

🎃🍂 NAME THIS BAR! 🍂🎃

I need your help because this one still doesn’t have a name!

This bar was actually inspired by my friend Jessica. ❤️ Every single time I smell something pumpkin-y, fall-y, warm and cozy, I immediately think of her. 😂

Jessica LOVES her PSL and she LOVES all the fall scents. ☕️🎃🍁 So naturally, while I was making this one, in my head it just became “Jessica’s Bar.”

But now it needs an official Bode Bars name!

It’s Pumpkin Spice Latte inspired, made with beef tallow + goat milk, and basically smells like fall decided to become a bar of soap. 🤣
