One of the biggest misconceptions about wave perms is that they only last a few weeks before completely falling out.

While the texture will naturally soften over time, a well-executed perm combined with the right maintenance can last for months.

Here’s what helped keep this perm looking great from November to June:

✨ Moisture + hold products that support the wave pattern

✨ A styling routine that encourages the texture (yes, lots of scrunching)

✨ Regular shape-up haircuts to prevent excess weight from pulling the wave down

✨ Clarifying when needed to remove buildup but not so often that the hair becomes dry

✨ Using oils strategically instead of overdoing them and weighing the hair flat
