My daughter when she first started pre-k at this school 2 years ago... she simply couldn't
•tell you her own name
•speak more than 1-2 words at a time
•there was a long period where she was putting holes in the wall with her head & self harming
•she couldn't wait in lines or drs offices
•she couldn't be around loud noises or crowds
•she couldn't transition from one item to another
•she couldn't recenter after seeing something she hyperfixated on
•she struggled to make friends... then she met Saint and a few other friends and....

Now here we are 2 years later. After sacrificing my career I worked so hard for and was prominent in... after leaving the ABA field and spending my every waking moment as her full time advocate and getting her the therapies she needed. After endless grueling work put in.. after becoming a full time SAHM for her... after moving in with my dad to make it happen, after adjusting my schedule to fit hers, after building my shop from the ground up to keep us afloat and doing it all 110% on my own no support system to save me... to save us...

This is where we're at 2 years later. She's walking into the same school event with her best friends, running into her other close friends... transitioning all night with zero problems, jammin out at the DJ booths, speaking full blown sentences, and leaving without a single issue.

THAT is why DimeDoll Creations is so important to my family and I... because the people who support my shop are supporting my family. They're allowing me to be a SAHM and to continue to care for my daughter and tend to her needs so that one day she'll be in full blown Gen Ed doing amazing & eventually following her own dreams. Now we're growing even more and expanding the shop space into the swapmeet and I just couldn't be happier seeing how many of you have been here to support us since the beginning so many years ago and still continue to.

My "why" for everything... my everything. Teaching her to forever ignore the haters because had I listened to mine... had I leaned into the systematic abuse instead of running from it and fighting like hell against it... she would've never been here. She's my everything. For all of my regulars who have heard of her endlessly yet never got to meet her, here's the reason DDC means so much to me and my reason for being... the best reason for uprooting every life plan I've ever had and changing my entire trajectory. The greatest, most beautiful, endless love to ever happen to me. 💕
