I swear we act like taking care of ourselves intentionally is a crime 🥲 If you keep pushing off your self care because work is just too busy read ⬇️

Every day can be very busy as someone who is working full time but here’s the real reason why your self care is never getting done. It’s because unlike everything else it’s not a priority to you.

Working is a priority because it keeps the lights on, meal preping is a priority because it keeps the budget in tact, cleaning the house weekly is a priority bc we are clean women over here but what can often time fall to the wayside are those extra steps that truly make YOU feel like a priority.

Everything I just mentioned probably feels like obvious must do’s & needs but why for example is a skin care routine not a need to you? Or a consistent hair care routine, or a monthly nail appointment, or a monthly lash appointment?

The reason these things should be prioritized as well is because doing everything else (working, cooking, cleaning) those can honestly just become draining and they start to take all your time energy and joy. Intentionally choosing just a few hours out of the week or just 2 hours out of the month to do something that feeds into you and uplifts your spirit is really a NEED.

This is a reminder that pouring into yourself should always be a priority and that starts with choosing to treat yourself like a queen, choosing to pamper yourself because you deserve it and u work hard!
