There will be some changes coming to Peaceful Blends in 2027. Peaceful Blends is growing and branching out. Nina has been my business partner for 2 years but has grown enough clientele and business to open her own business as the owner. Let’s all congratulate Nina on this huge accomplishment. Her business will be called Peaceful Bliss & Scents. Don’t worry, all of her amazing products will remain in Designs by D…because yall know you can’t do without that collagen body butter and other amazing products she has come up with since being my partner for 2 years. So what will change? Her business name will change and our booths at Designs By D will change a little to separate our stuff because she will have a different booth number. We will still be beside each other so you will just have even more options in 2027 from the both of us. Nina is smart, creative, and has skills so she will be doing great things like probably starting an online business. You will get an invite to like her page. Please go and like her page and show some love. Invite your friends to like her page also. We are slowly transitioning over to getting Nina’s business started. So through Christmas things at Designs by D will remain the same. After Christmas we will change over to 2 businesses. Exciting News! My store in Hickory Tavern will open Pink Friday which is the weekend before Black Friday. I will be open every Thursday-Saturday until Christmas after Pink Friday. Designs By D and Chix will remain the same! Info in comments

This is something I wanted to share about Pat Waters at Designs By D. She was my great friend before I even came to Designs By D and she’s the reason my business is in the store.

I met Pat when I was 12 years old. She worked at the convenience store above my house then known as “B Martins”. When I was 16 she set me up with my husband and we just celebrated our 30 year anniversary. Without Pat’s matchmaking skills I wouldn’t have found the love of my life and had my two beautiful children. She was always so sweet to me and my family at the store. Over the years we kept in touch because she lives just right down the road from me. For about 2 years she kept trying to get me to bring my business in Designs By D. I finally moved my business into the store and it was a great decision. I was in touch with Pat just about everyday she worked because she would let me know what customers needed and would let me know what products I was out of.
Every time I walked through the door of Designs By D she greeted me with her smile and asked me how I was doing. She was truly interested in how my day was going each and every time. Most of the time she was putting together a beautiful floral arrangement. I could be in my booth and already know Ms. Pat was there by the smell of the hot glue that filled the air that she dipped her flowers in to make her arrangements. She was like a mother figure to me. Many times she would come just sit with me as I was pricing my items and we would talk.
Pat loved to talk about her children. She was so proud of her kids. She would talk about her daughter that she’s in Heaven with right now. She was beyond excited when her daughter Katie got married in December. We had so much to talk about because my son was getting married the week before. She also had so many good things to say about her new son in law. She would talk about how her son and how he helped her. I’ve seen him in the store with her so many times laughing and talking. She loved her children with everything in her. She was very dedicated to Designs By D and I have heard many stories of how she and Diane became best friends and how they close they are to each other.
Pat has a special place in my heart and always will! She touched so many lives! I had several people tell me how she touched their lives at the daycare and being a band mom.
One thing about Pat is I can tell you that she is in Heaven. She was a devoted Christian lady and
she loved Jesus! She would tell everyone about her Lord and Savior! My heart smiles knowing that she’s in Heaven but will be so missed by all that knew her! My heartfelt prayers go to her family and friends! Thank you for touching my life Pat! I love you!

It is with great sadness that we got the news that Pat Waters at Designs By D passed away yesterday. You might know her familiar face as being at the register and she made the floral arrangements. She also worked at Hickory Tickory Tots in Hickory Tavern. I have known Pat since I was about 12 years old and she introduced me to my husband 35 years ago. We are heartbroken over this news. Please pray for her family and friends. She was such a sweet person and loved by so many people. We don’t know any details about what happened but it was unexpected. When I hear arrangements I will post them. 🙏❤️

Who has tried Burberry Goddess perfume? I had never tried it but ordered it for a customer and just made it. Oh my, what a beautiful scent! Coming soon!

People were so sad to see the best smelling cologne and men’s products go away. My Tim McGraw scent. Let’s just say I reached out to the company that discontinued it and they let me buy what they had. It is back for about 2 more years! Woohoo! 😍

If I could go back to my younger days I would become a Holistic Medical Practitioner. I love learning about the body and what naturally can heal you. I do that with my business but there is so much to learn. I wish I had started this at a younger age. I love helping people feel better the most natural way possible!
