Fun fact Friday: Candy Corn was originally called Chicken Feed because of its corn-like appearance. It was changed to candy corn between World War 1 and the 1920s due to sounding more appealing. What team are you on, Candy Corn lover or Candy Corn hater?

We love to learn new things together and have very similar goals. I think that is why we work so well together. We are a great team!

It's getting cooler out there and you know what that means. Heaters are coming out, sickness is spreading, and we are taking those oh so nice hot showers. Heaters will dry out your skin. We will wash our hands more which will dry out our skin. Those wonderful hot showers, yep drying out your skin.

Now we aren't saying not to do these things. We use heaters. We wash our hands constantly. We LOVE hot showers. (Make me red like a lobster 🦞).

We are saying to remember to use your oils and creams more. Try using your cuticle oil morning and night. Creams and lotions with 40% Urea are amazing for our skin. Jojoba oil absorbs into the skin quickly without having that greasy feeling

Fun fact Friday : Did you know the first Jack-O-Lanterns were turnips, potatoes, beets and rutabagas? The Irish and Scottish would carve grotesque faces on the vegetables to frighten evil spirits away. One such spirit was called Stingy Jack. During the Great Famine , a large number of Irish and Scottish immigrants fled to the United States, bringing their vegetables carving customs with them. They then discovered that pumpkins were much easier to carve. That is why we carve pumpkins today.

Fun Fact Friday : Do you know how to read persimmon seeds? First you need to find a nice soft persimmon and remove its seed. Carefully cut the seed lengthwise and inside you will see a white kernel. If you find a knife shape you will have a harsh winter with icy winds that will "cut" through you. If you find a fork you will have a mild winter with a light powdery snow. If you find a spoon you will have lots of snow that you will have to "shovel". We have heard there have been lots of spoons this year. Time to buy some shovels!
