Hi friend!

Can you believe it's already August?

It feels like summer flew by in the blink of an eye!
I hope you've been making the most of these sunny days—whether you've been traveling, spending time at the pool, enjoying backyard barbecues, or simply soaking up a slower pace with family and friends.

Now, as backpacks are being packed, school supplies shopping, and routines are slowly making their return, it feels like we're stepping into a brand-new season.

There's something I always love about August.

It feels like a fresh start. While January gets all the attention for new beginnings, August has its own special kind of reset.

We begin settling back into routines, calendars start filling up, and life finds its rhythm again.

Speaking of routines…

If your hair has enjoyed every minute of summer right along with you, it may be ready for a little TLC.

Between sunshine, swimming, lake days, and humidity, our hair has definitely earned a little extra love!

Whether it's a fresh trim to clean up those summer ends, a color refresh to bring back your shine, or simply a little time to relax in the salon chair, I'd love to see you whenever you're ready.

As many of you know, I also have the joy of serving brides throughout the year. Because of my wedding schedule and family commitments, my salon hours are staying focused on three days a week.

Mondays 10-6
Tuesdays 10-4
Wednesdays 12-8

(Schedule will change slightly in September)***

If you already know you'll be wanting your fall or holiday hair refreshed, I encourage you to reserve your appointments a little earlier than usual so you can get the days and times that work best for your schedule.

Thank you for always being so understanding and supportive—it truly means the world to me.

As summer comes to a close, I hope you take a few moments to enjoy these last long evenings, make one more stop for ice cream, watch one more sunset, and soak in every bit of this beautiful season.

Thank you for allowing me to be a small part of your lives. I always look forward to our conversations just as much as I look forward to doing your hair!

Currently loving using a mousse again and this one by Maria Nila has made me love mouse again 🤗

I love a good series and I’ve seen too many it’s almost embarrassing- but although I think basketball 🏀 is super boring- I’ve always been a big fan of Kate Hudson and she’s incredible in this fun series

If you know me you know I love a great beach read- give me the fun loving rom coms- these won’t disappoint- also- Carley Fortunes Every Summer After is on Prime and it’s a great binge watch 👌

And lastly- my girls call these my “cleaning music” 🎶
I mean I could bust out my 90 & 2000s hip hop but I rather love to listen to chill music during the day, I’m always playing background music and bonus if I light my favorite candle - vanilla lavender 🕯️

How is your summer going so far?

I hope you've found time to slow down a little—to enjoy backyard barbecues, late sunsets, trips to the farmers market, evenings on the patio, and maybe even a family vacation or two.

Summer has a way of reminding us to appreciate the simple moments, and I hope yours has been filled with plenty of them.

One thing I've been reflecting on lately is how special this summer feels as we celebrate America's 250th birthday!

As an immigrant I am reminded of how grateful I am for my parents decision to bring us here to give us a better opportunity.

It's a milestone that invites us to appreciate where we've been, celebrate the traditions we love, and look forward to creating new memories with the people who matter most.

As someone who loves timeless and meaningful traditions, I can't help but think about how those same ideas show up in everyday life.

Whether it's gathering around the table with family, watching fireworks light up the sky, pictures with the kids, these are the little moments that become the stories we tell for years to come.

Speaking of photos... summer has a funny way of sneaking by!

Before we know it, school will be back in session, fall events will be filling our calendars, and the holidays won't be too far behind.

If your hair has been soaking up a little too much sunshine, chlorine, lake water, or humidity (because let's be honest, summer is wonderful but not always kind to our hair!)

it might be the perfect time for a little refresh.

No rush—just something to keep in mind if you've been catching yourself saying, *"I really need to make my hair appointment."*

Thank you, as always, for trusting me with your hair and for supporting my small business. It means more than you know. I truly enjoy catching up with each of you and being a small part of your lives through every season.

Summer is finally here!

Longer days, pool time, vacations and all the sunshine ahead!

If your hair has been feeling a little dull, grown out, dry, or just in need of some
love, this is your reminder to get your summer appointment on the books before schedules fill up.

This summer I want it to feel like a 90s summer, more time outside, dinners al

fresco, pool, and reading challenges for both me and my girls. We love the

summer reading challenge from the library and Barnes and Noble's, they both gift a book at the end!

We do still school in the summer and while we go more laid back, this year I'm excited to add a fossil unit, watercolor class, and art from around the world.

As of yet I don't think we will take a summer vacation but who knows! We Dolsons tend to be last minute planners when it comes to trips =)

Here's some summer hair tips:

Wear a hat when spending long days in the sun

Use a heat protectant before hot tools-or skip hot tools all together

Add a hydrating mask weekly for extra moisture

Rinse hair after swimming to help prevent dryness and brassiness

And finally, here's a reminder regarding my summer hours:

Wednesdays 12-8
