Today, 9/25, is recognized as Dolly Parton Day, and we couldn’t let it pass without celebrating an icon who has given us some pretty legendary lessons in hair, beauty, and being unapologetically yourself. 💕
Dolly taught us that big hair is always a good idea, confidence never goes out of style, beauty should be FUN, and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with putting a little extra effort into looking the way that makes you feel your best.
But her legacy goes far beyond the glam.
She showed us the beauty in loving yourself exactly as you are. In developing a signature style and owning it. In complimenting other women instead of competing with them. In treating people with kindness. In giving back generously. And in never allowing someone else’s definition of beauty to become your own.
At Studio 104, we can certainly appreciate the hair. 😉 But we love the woman underneath it even more.
Here’s to taking a little Dolly with us every day: love big, give back, be kind, and never apologize for the hair.
