The most important thing to know from going from dark to light is that it’s better and healthier for your hair to break up into sessions. It’s not completely impossible to get to silver on virgin hair but you should be realistic with expectations. 4 services to get from black to silver could easily cost $300 each, so is it irrational to think that getting to the end result in one or two long days should be any less than $1,000?

Look guys, I know what it’s like to not be able to afford a luxury item, but I don’t expect the store to give me a discount unless I plan on working there to get an employee discount. That being said, if you can’t afford a service that you want, consider asking your stylist how many referrals you it would take to lower the cost instead of asking your stylist to discount the service. You’d be surprised what your stylist will do for you if you’re willing to help them grow their business. My favorite clients aren’t just my friends, they’re the ones that believe in me and constantly help me grow my clientele, those are the ones I’d do anything for.
