❤️ PLEASE HELP OUR CUSTOMER BEN AFTER TWO DEVASTATING FLOODS

One of our good customers, Ben Yaunk, is going through something no one should have to experience.

On August 19th, unprecedented rain caused Ben’s home to flood with 2.5 feet of water. The water that entered his home was contaminated with dog f***s and urine from outside, forcing him to throw away approximately 90% of what he owned.

Among the things he lost were his childhood keepsakes and memories — irreplaceable pieces of his life that can never truly be replaced.

Then, on September 30th, disaster struck again.

Another major flood caused by Hurricane Polo destroyed much of what Ben had left, including things he had managed to save from the first flood. After already losing so much, having it happen all over again has been devastating.

Insurance will only help with the AC unit, leaving Ben to handle most of the recovery himself.

Right now, Ben needs help repairing the damage and replacing basic necessities. Some of the biggest needs include replacing flooring, removing mold, repairing walls, replacing damaged doors, and repairing the screen door after a tree broke it down and allowed even more water into the living room.

He also needs everyday essentials including clothing, electronics, appliances, furniture, and other household necessities, while trying to keep up with bills during this incredibly difficult time.

This has taken a serious toll on Ben emotionally and mentally. He is still trying to work as a manager while also needing to be home to deal with cleanup, repairs, and everything else these floods have brought.

Ben is a good customer of ours, and we wanted to share his story with our community in hopes that we can help him get back on his feet. ❤️

WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK — IS $15 A FAIR PRICE FOR HOMEMADE BUREK? 🫓

We recently had someone question the price of our homemade burek, and honestly, it made us think about how much work really goes into it.

This isn’t typical drive-through food. Grandma starts preparing early in the morning, sometimes as early as 5 AM, making the dough by hand and putting hours of time, preparation and care into every batch.

And let’s not forget about the time that goes into it — preparing the dough, stretching it, preparing the filling, assembling everything and baking it. This is a handmade process that takes real time and hard work.

Beef prices have also gone up, but we still want to keep our prices reasonable for our customers.

We’re not trying to be the cheapest option. We’re trying to give Nebraska something traditional, homemade and made with love that you can’t find just anywhere.

Some customers have even told us $15 is a bargain for the amount of work and quality that goes into it.
