Thank you dear clients for dropping off products and styling accessories for our texturized hair care drive in partnership with YWCA of Lincoln❣️
A huge thank you to Roots Collective for serving as a collection site for our hygiene drive! 💙
These donations of textured hair care products are so needed in our community and will make a meaningful impact by helping stock the Wholesome Hygiene closet here at YWCA Lincoln.
We are incredibly grateful for this community partnership and everyone who contributed. Thank you for helping us ensure our neighbors have access to essential hygiene products.
See you next year!💫
I’ve been getting so many weekly DMs asking if I’m taking on new clients yet or if I have a waitlist- and I want to be transparent with you all.. I’m not 💖
After 17 years in this industry, I have built a loyal client base and a calendar I love. I wake up every day doing work that lights me up, with people I truly enjoy serving! I’ve learned to honor this sweet spot instead of always pushing for more.
To anyone in the thick of building their business right now: stay consistent. Good things take time 😊
And to everyone who has reached out, thank you. Genuinely. I don’t take living a dream for granted🤍
Happy February ❤️
A whole month to intentionally remind us of LOVE.
I’ve been thinking about how generous the quality of love is. Someone gifting me something just to make me happy. I have a long conversation with a stranger where time is irrelevant to either of us. Deepening the bonds with family through shared experiences.
Love only requires being true to ourselves and then it authentically pours out.. and the very fact that it has no limits is mind blowing to me.
I hope this month we can celebrate our humanness. You don’t need a romantic partner to be in love. You can be in love with pasta. You can be in love with yourself. Family. Friends. Strangers. The earth. The stars. When you fall in love with the details of life, you then have no other choice than to be fully alive 🥰✨
I didn’t have enough video space but part 2 will be why celebrating our cultures deepens our appreciation for each other 💃🏾
It doesn’t always have to be a giant transformation! Sometimes a little off the length, some layers and face framing can be the refresh a curly needs 💅
Inspired by the stories I hear in the chair from YOU GUYS! Fear is loud but love is consistent 🤝💛 shake it off and let’s keep going
Head Spa is a nervous system reset ✨
The head holds major nerve pathways from the brain down our bodies. The tension we hold on the top of our heads, in our foreheads, eyebrows, nose, cheeks, ears, jaws and back of neck are subtle but strong
The clean, grounded energy throughout this service been healing to provide for my guests 🥰
Your body has a chance to regulate breath for safe meditative sleep. *Through* rest we come back to our body and out of “fight or flight” mode.
Thats why everyone says the shampoo is the best part of a haircut… imagine that for an hour! Bliss 🔋
We’re coming up on the end of the year, can you believe it??
I’ll be taking a 2 week break from the salon and also from posting here (unless I feel otherwise inspired ☺️)
Just want to say, thank you for another year of fabulousness. I’ve experienced nearly all the emotions with you guys in the sacredness of connection. It’s *always* been more than hair.
Here is a little hair journey of my own since cutting it big time in January. Our bodies store emotion and that’s just a fact. Our hair strands are connected to our nervous system and directly affected by our hormones and environments. That’s why it feels so good when you cut it off. Dead ends ain’t good for anyone! 😉
About half way into summer, I embraced the humidity and allowed my hair to meet up with it. That was also freeing! Big, frizzy hair is wild, sexy, independent and free! I’ve always been about low maintenance beauty routines but leaning into less product and even less time spent on hair management was unexpected and fun. 🤸🏾
I am so grateful to have gotten to welcome you into my new salon in 2025. There’s going to be more exciting newness coming in ‘26 so I welcome it with open arms!
As always, thank you for your support and patronage❣️ I am incredibly lucky to not only love the work I do but like the people I get to spend my days with. 🤗
Xoxo,
