✨ 6 beauty trends I’m over ✨
Before you come for me, remember: I’m not saying these things are bad. I’m saying they’re often oversold.
❌ Collagen creams and supplements promising tighter skin
❌ Trendy ingredients with more marketing than evidence
❌ Separate eye creams and neck creams for everyone
❌ LED masks as the skincare miracle they’re marketed to be
❌ “Medical-grade skincare” as a status symbol
❌ Chasing a tan while trying to age gracefully
The beauty industry is worth billions because it’s incredibly good at making us believe the next product is the one we’ve been waiting for.
Most of the time, healthy skin comes down to the boring stuff:
✔️ Sunscreen
✔️ Consistency
✔️ Retinoids (if appropriate)
✔️ Evidence-based ingredients
✔️ Professional treatments when needed
✔️ Patience
