Hello, my Fellow District 2 Residents and Clients!

Happy New Year to you, and what a new year it is! Since before the clock struck midnight , we here at Body Philosophy have been experiencing some substantial changes to our norm; too much to talk about in one newsletter, however, first things first. For the past few months, I have been immersing myself in some of the issues going on in our District. Being a business owner, part of my duty to you is to
have a respite where you can relax, and not have to deal with uncomfortable, homeless encounters and things of the like, which I know you have been subject to from time to time. I finally got fed up and I am doing something about it. What, you ask? Well, I am combining my business with my patriotism and am on the campaign trail with our City
Councilwoman Candidate, Ketty Citterio. I am dedicated to her campaign so much so, that I am opening up my business to her and to all our District 2 residents who are interested in testing the waters. I have only known Ketty for a short time now, but from what I have seen, she is very smart, kind, caring, and passionate about truth, change, and District 2. Please come join us to have refreshments and "Conversations with Ketty Citterio."

Body Philosophy is hosting a “Conversation with Ketty Citterio” Meet and Greet to get a chance to speak with her as an outstanding candidate for election to the Long Beach District 2 City Council.

As President of Friends of Bixby Park, Ketty is renowned for being out in our district every single day. Everyone knows her and trusts her because they actually are able to interact with her. Whether leading beach and park clean-ups, connecting homeless to nonprofit services (getting them off the street into safety), or working with law enforcement when there is a dangerous situation…Ketty gets the job done!
She is always eager to meet with you and to hear about issues that are of importance to you. It is also a great opportunity to meet neighbors in our district community.

How Do I Purchase?

My method for this is a bit archaic. You would think with Technology being so advanced there would be an option on Square where you can make a purchase without making an appointment. Unfortunately, they don't allow for that, so I must go back to basics.
In order to purchase you must:
1. Make an appointment - I have set Square to be able to make advanced purchases however, you will have to make an appointment in order to purchase.
2. Call me Personally - Give me a call or email and we can take care of it over the phone. My preferred method of payment is Zelle, but how you want and need to pay is up to you!
3. Gift Card - If you are purchasing a gift for someone, a gift card is the best method.

IT'S THE END OF THE YEAR!

Hello, my amazing clients! I hope all is well.

What a year it's been. Do I really need to remind you that the holidays are creeping up as they tend to do every year? Thanskgiving has already come and gone and there is still so much to do! One of the important things I needed to do is this newsletter. So, before taking fingers to keyboard I pondered "What will this one be about and what am I going to do for the Holidays this year?"
Now, I haven't put out a newsletter in quite a while. I thought I'd better because Thanksgiving is already passed and soon it will be Christmas! It startled me because I realized since the holidays are approaching I need to show the greatest clients in the world my love and appreciation. But, I hadn't an inkling about what I was going to do. Your Help is Appreciated

About 2 months ago I began volunteering with a small, but growing organization called Beacon for Him Ministries which is a Christian-based outreach that helps feed and minister to the homeless. I have been volunteering with them for a few months now doing massages and lending my voice to their worship group and I find it to be very rewarding. Every Monday I take my massage chair and I work on the homeless. The more I see them, they begin to trust me and confide in me about very personal things. As I listen to each person's testimony, I am reminded of all of the things I have that they don't. A few of the most important things to me is having a place to flop at the end of the day. Kick my feet up, pop open a cold one, and decompress from a hard day knowing that tomorrow is guaranteed to be abundant and safe. The homeless don't have that and it made me feel heartbroken. I told myself that if there was anything I could do to help, I would. This is how I'm helping.

If anyone of you would like to help, we happily take donations of clothes, shoes, coats, and blankets; anything you don't want or need would be welcome. Also, there is a great need for hygienic products. So simple yet so profound.
