After and before (in that order) of a challenging subtractive veneer case. Patient wanted to enhance her smile while fixing the position of her lateral ( #7) without going through Orthodontic treatment, of course!. In additive cases you place the BFEP (bonded functional esthetic prototype) before starting prepping the teeth. This way you get the patients approval before starting prepping. In this case it wasn’t possible to sit the matrix to place the BFEP because of the inclination of the lateral. So you have to prep the lateral before trying the BFEP and getting the patients approval. RISKY MOVE! But “the Doc” and I love adrenaline and went for it! Everything worked out perfectly and we solve this case with 10 veneers. No endo was needed. Patient was beyond thrilled! Do you want to see how I edited this images? Minimal preps for 2 feldspathic porcelain veneers. I use my electric hand piece at around 10.000 rpms to finish the margins. Nothing like being able to control the speed of your electric handpiece. Check out my next post to see how I edited this image.

Preparaciones mínimamente invasivas para dos carillas de porcelana feldespática. Uso mi turbina eléctrica a una velocidad de 10.000 rpm para finalizar los márgenes de la preparación. After and Before (in that order) of a 20 unit veneer case I did with and Ning Feng. I love the outcome of this case and the confidence the patient portraits after the treatment. Also notice the difference in lighting between the two pictures. The preop was taken with twin flashes and no bouncers. The Post op was taken with studio lights and soft boxes. Amazing what a little change in lighting (and a little make up) can do.

Después y Antes (en ese orden) de un caso de 20 carillas que hice con y Ning Feng. Me encanta el resultado final del caso y la confianza que transmite la paciente al final del tratamiento. También quiero destacar la diferencia en iluminación de ambas fotos. La foto pre-operatoria fue tomada con twin flashes sin difusores. La post-operatoria fue tomada con luces tipo estudio y difusores. Increíble como un pequeño cambio en iluminación (y un poquito de maquillaje)cambia completamente la fotografía. @ Madrid, Spain
