Rest assured, I’m thinking about your scar long before I ever make an incision. Where it sits and how long it needs to be really comes down to your anatomy and how much loose skin we’re addressing.
And remember, the scar you see at six weeks isn’t the scar you’ll have forever. It will continue to flatten, soften, and fade over the months that follow.
Not bad, if I do say so myself. 😉
Liposuction in 10 seconds? If only. 😉
That slightly hunched-over walk after a tummy tuck may not be your best look, but there’s a reason for it. 😉

The biggest difference between open and closed rhinoplasty really comes down to access.
With an open approach, a small incision between the nostrils allows me to see the underlying structures more directly. With a closed approach, the incisions stay inside the nose, but my visibility is more limited.
The right choice depends on your anatomy and what we’re trying to accomplish. When more complex reshaping or greater precision is needed, that extra visibility with an open approach can be very helpful.
I think this trend reflects a larger shift in plastic surgery toward results that feel more individualized and less driven by a particular “look.” Bigger isn’t automatically better, and smaller isn’t automatically more natural. It’s about finding the amount of enhancement that feels right for you.

A little summer photo dump for you, as I believe the cool kids call it. 😎
We made our way from Yellowstone and Old Faithful to Zuma Beach, threw in some whitewater rafting and golf along the way, and had a grand ol' time doing it.
Arnica certainly has its fans... I’d say I’m cautiously among them. 😁
Here’s something patients don’t always realize: a tummy tuck alone can create a flatter abdomen, but it doesn’t necessarily address fullness along the waist and surrounding areas. That’s where liposuction can make a big difference in the overall shape and contour.
There’s a difference between being back to your normal routine and feeling completely photo-ready.
So if you’re hoping to be ready for holiday parties, family photos, or winter travel, work backward from that date and give yourself a little extra time. 👍
