There are approximately 847 things happening the week before a wedding.

We just don’t think our couples should be responsible for most of them. 😂

By wedding week, the timeline has been built, vendors are being confirmed, arrival times are accounted for, questions are coming to us and everyone knows where they need to be.

Your list should look a little different.

Break in the shoes. Write the note. Hug the people flying in. Drink some water. Go to bed.

You’ve done the planning. Now you get to start experiencing it. 💛

We’ll take it from here.

What if we told you the first step in designing your wedding… has nothing to do with weddings? 👀

We don’t want to know what someone else’s wedding looked like. We want to know what you are drawn to.

The hotel you’ve saved for years. The restaurant you love. An outfit you’d wear tomorrow. A room you want to live in. Art, architecture, color, texture, places you’ve traveled… all of it tells us something.

So before we ever start talking about linens, florals or place settings, our design couples complete what we call The Pinterest Challenge: 10 images they love that have absolutely nothing to do with weddings.

From there, we look for the common thread and begin translating you into a wedding design. Because the goal was never to design a beautiful wedding.

It’s to design a beautiful wedding that could only belong to you. 💛

Turns out “you’re going to need this someday” was a lie. 😂

To be fair, we do a surprising amount of math over here.
Floor plans. Linen sizes. Rental quantities. Timeline calculations. Bar counts. Budget percentages.

But if you ask us to solve for x, we’re calling the DJ. 💛

There’s something incredibly special about getting married at a family home or private residence. But there’s one big difference between a private property and a traditional wedding venue:

You’re essentially building the venue from scratch.

Power needs to be mapped out. Restrooms may need to be brought in. Trash, catering waste + gray water need somewhere to go. Neighbors need to be considered. And because there isn’t a venue handbook waiting for you, someone needs to establish the rules that protect the property and communicate them to every vendor coming onsite.

None of that means a private-residence wedding has to feel complicated.

It just means the infrastructure needs as much thought as the pretty stuff. 😉

With the right planning behind the scenes, your guests should simply experience an incredible wedding in a place that feels deeply personal to you. And when the last truck pulls away, the property should still feel like home. 💛

Planning a private-residence wedding? This is exactly the kind of logistics we love. Inquire through the link in our bio.
