l mathacrylic) free acrylic systems. At the age of 31 Nadiea found herself unemployed, broke, and lost. She had worked most of her adult life for other people, helping them to live out their dreams until it all came crashing down. They say God works in mysterious ways, Nadiea had become ill and unable to work. She had always been independent and self-reliant, so being unemployed had really taken a toll on her and her confidence. She loved to get her hair and nails done regularly but due to mounting bills somethings had to be put on the back burner. With no more pampering every two weeks, she had to face reality that things were different. Being pampered was one of the things she enjoyed most you know the saying “When you look good you feel good.” Nadiea then got creative and found herself doing her own hair and nails. Upon doing so she quickly realized that she had a knack for doing nails. People started noticing her nails and complimenting her on her work and it was in those moments she realized she had found her passion. She had found something she genuinely loved to do. She found what she had been lacking all these years, her passion. She did her research and began studying, and practiced daily. Soon after she made the decision to turn this hobby into money, she began building a brand. A friend of hers Teanna Ross, Brand Stylist and Owner of Kreative Eye Design saw that she was starting a business and wanted to help her build a successful brand. Teanna is currently consulting with Nadiea regularly on how to implement strategies to consistently bring in clients and generate buzz for NNBN.
“Nadiea is passionate about what she does, in just under 8 months she has found her calling and is building a brand. She’s inspiring to women of color that it is never too late to find something you love doing and make money doing it. Breaking out into a saturated market is hard work, but she has spark and pizzazz which is going to set her apart and take her a long way. Nadiea is continuing to perfect her craft and provide exceptional nail care enhancement to all of her clients. Her future is bright and she is looking to opening her very own mobile nail salon and spa on wheels.
