Well that and my energy levels are up, I’m not a dizzy girl anymore (craaazyyy), and brain fog has diminished. This is beauty y’all—it’s health.

You better check the beauty bias of your injector. Are they going off of mathematical formulas? Their version of hot? Do they want you to look like them? I mean serioussssly think about what the end goal is here. Are we going for symmetrical as humanly possible—because science tells us that perfect symmetry makes us look weird, not prettier. According to real facial balancing, you are receiving treatment according to what your face was and is. We are replenishing what is lost and preserving what exists.

“Can you tell I’ve had anything done?” Is the number 2 most popular question I get asked at a party or gathering when people find out what I do for a living. The answer is often yes because most injectors have a skewed understanding of what “natural results” mean. They are operating on a baseline of what our industry teaches, and frankly, our industry looks weird. Natural results look like healthy, moving skin. It looks like you but rested. It doesn’t look compartmented. Let’s level it up in taste and let go of the old standards of aesthetics. We know better.

“You’re so natural in front of the camera.” I’m not. I took speech twice in college to become a better speaker and I prepare diligently before any speaking engagements. All of the wins you see take a lotttttt of effort bts and you know what? I love it. I love doing hard things because the payoff is usually really great. I love the discomfort of uncertainty and newness because that means possibility is around the corner. So yes, you see everything packaged nicely online but I want you to know that I’m often losing my mind behind the scenes working towards a bolder vision, but I really, really love it. I CANNOT. Last night we had the most glorious event at Facial Balancing™ , Injectables, Threads, Biostimulators O‘ahu located at SALT at Our Kakaʻako! Our community came out to hang and we did dozens of facial balancing consultations over some yummy drink.summerclub drinks. This was our BEST event yet. The vibes were up, specials were taken advantage of, and we had such a great time meeting everyone! Congrats to Lisa Keaney RN, BSN•Hawai’i Aesthetic Injector and Charity Blake • Honolulu Sculptra and Lip Filler Injector for being two of the best on island. Big mahalo to the amazing team that put in work to make this happen.

If you only watch other provider’s videos and interact with other providers, you are losing the plot. Focus on better patient care. Think yours can’t improve? You are part of the problem.
